Today we walked 26km and visited 3 temples: 81, 82 and 83. The way to the first two temples was on a forest path, so even though the day was very sunny and warm, we didn’t notice until we started walking in the city.

We had three highlights today: first, we saw a cat monkey on our path 🐱🐵 (no pictures, unfortunately). Second, we had the nicest “osettai stop” ever (see the picture about Keiko’s Reception Place). And third, we are staying in a guest house owned by a monk who also studies Japanese culinary kitchen. He cooked the most delicious dinner for us and three other Japanese guests and, after introducing ourselves (in Japanese), we ate together while chatting about traveling in a curious mix of Japanese and English. Sugoi!
