Temple 68-70
May 1, 2023Our journey is coming to an end โฆ almost! More than 900km are done, less than 300km to be walked. Weโre in the final stretch of our hike. And we can feel it ๐ฎโ๐จ My feet are slowly dissolving (whatever that means to you) and so are my shoes. Brunoโs back is hurting. The temples are becoming less interesting. Writing Polarsteps is becoming a task, just like taking our mandatory selfies at the temples.
But (big BUT) we accept the challenge! These feelings, this โlowโ, itโs all part of the journey ๐ฃ Next Monday we will finish and be missing the time spent outside, our random conversations, the kindness of strangers, the exhaustion and maybe even the temples (big MAYBE here) ๐
No more emotional ๐ฆ, back to our day: what a lazy day! Because we โonlyโ had 15km to walk, we decided to take a detour and go to the beach in the morning. Unfortunately the beach was very much concrete and bushes and no sand so we had to skip that part ๐ฅฒ After visiting our 3 temples for today we passed the time until check-in at different Kombinis or supermarkets ๐ Tonightโs accommodation is a really cool place, owned by a young family who built it themselves ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ฆโ๐ฆ Cheers!
