Foot recovery part 1
April 9, 2023Maike and I decided to take a few days off until her foot heals properly. Since weβre still in a relatively big city (KΕchi), we took the bus back to the city center and enjoyed a beautiful sunny Sunday. We walked through the Sunday Market, which we learned is one of the oldest (since 1690) and biggest (1.3km long) open markets in Japan! There we met Kyra and enjoyed a nice coffee together before giving her our goodbye again, this time for real.
We had a delicious lunch at another market (Hirome Market): katsuo no tataki (tuna sashimi, slightly grilled in an open flame, a traditional dish from this region) and had a white strawberry (!) as dessert.
We finished our day early to make sure that we get proper rest. Since thereβs a shared kitchen at our accommodation, we decided to cook our signature dish in Japan: we buy all the vegetables that we can recognize at the supermarket and cook them together in a big pan! π₯¦π π₯¬π₯π π§ Yummy!
