We celebrated our day off with a late (and delicious) breakfast. This time, we escaped from the traditional japanese-style breakfast (which usually includes rice, miso soup, fish and vegetables) to something more familiar to us: granola, fruits and yoghurt. And, for our second breakfast, we had cheesecake to celebrate Tani’s 30th birthday 🥳! Happy birthday, Tani! 🎈

The rain didn’t stop until 3pm so we chilled in our hostel room until we could finally breathe some fresh air outside. Our idea for today was to explore Kochi a little (the city is bigger than we thought) but Maike’s foot 🦶 is still not 100% recovered from yesterday so we didn’t do much other than going to a sports shop to find shorts 🩳 for Maike and a functioning rain jacket for me. We’re still debating what’s the best plan for tomorrow given the foot situation.

In the evening the girls went to the same restaurant from yesterday (apparently the food is really delicious 😋) for more birthday celebration and I stayed home drying everything I can with a blow dryer 💨.
