We woke up at 6 and visited temple 23 (θ–¬ηŽ‹ε―Ί) which was only 200m distant from our accommodation. The temple had a beautiful view to the bay and we could enjoy a beautiful sunrise. After that we came back and our lovely host cooked delicious oniguiris πŸ™ (my favorite food from my childhood!) and tamagoyaki πŸ₯š for our breakfast and gave us more oniguiris and chocolate 🍫 as an osettai (gifts given to pilgrims of the Shikoku Pilgrimage) for us to have lunch on the way. It’s amazing how ours hosts have been spoiling us since the very beginning of this pilgrimage πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

We had three choices of paths for today: the shortest (of 20k), a β€œscenic” path (25k) and a β€œdifficult and hilly but with astonishing views” path (4.5h through the mountains plus 15k). Of course we chose the easiest one 😌. We arrived at our accommodation (an old building with a sea view 🌊) at 2pm. We finally had some time to chill and do laundry 🧺 (two luxuries for a pilgrim πŸ™ƒ).
