Day 119

Mile 2366.8 to mile 2390.4

PCT Miles: 23.6 (37.8km)

Total Miles: 2390.4 (3824.6km)

Once more, cold wet morning. It didn’t rain but you could feel the wetness coming out of the moisture from the mist and leaves.

The star of the day were without a doubt the huckleberry fields!

When the first huckleberries showed up still early in the morning, I couldn’t pick them because my fingers were too cold and I was unable to pinch 🫐🤏 . Gladly the fields lasted for the whole day and later, after a few uphills, I warmed up and could eat a fair share of huckleberries. For lunch I had the best electronola so far (with, of course, huckleberries)!

It was a lower-than-average mile day. I’m camping

close to Snoqualmie Pass (a ski resort), where I plan to spend the day and night tomorrow.

If everything goes according to the plan, I will get a resupply package (that I sent to a gas station in Snoqualmie Pass) for the coming three days. The idea is to stay there for the day and plan the last days of the PCT (including the last detour because of wildfires).
