Day 117

Mile 2310.0 to mile 2336.9

PCT Miles: 26.9 (43.0km)

Total Miles: 2336.9 (3739.0km)

Completely different from Oregon, the Washington section of the PCT is full of up and downhills. I have the feeling that here the hills are steeper than in most of the PCT.

It’s cool to be in the mountains again and go over passes. In the Sierra, all the passes I crossed were over snow and ice. Here I expect to see almost no snow. It is nice to be able to cross the passes following an actual trail!

There were an impressive amount of day hikers, families, groups of young people today. Since yesterday, the camping spots have been disputed. I said this a few times already, but I think it’s so cool that people hike and camp as a hobby ✨!

Washington so far has been very tough but very beautiful. It’s a good trade off πŸ™ƒ.
