It was a rainy night and a rainy morning. We had 80km in front of us today, but we didn’t start cycling until the rain stopped, around 11. One hour and 20km later, we had our Easter breakfast at the same café we’ve been two days ago. My respect for Danish bread, butter and cheese 🍞🧈🧀 is growing day by day. Maike also had a cheesecake and a kanelsnurrer (which are danish cinnamon rolls on steroids).

The promise was that the sun would shine a little bit during the afternoon, but that, unfortunately, didn’t happen. At least we had a lot of wind on our butts 🌬️🍑 and the kilometers passed by a little bit faster than usual. After 45km, we had more coffee, bread, butter and cheese for lunch in Præstrø (good luck saying that!). The grey skies and cold weather didn’t make it not so interesting for us to explore the towns along the way or even take breaks so we kept pushing the last 40km and arrived at our camping place at 5:30. The reception was closed but there was a leaflet with Maike’s name on it, containing the rules and general information about the camping. There was also key 🔑 (🤔) and instructions to get to or tent spot. And, yes 🙌! We had a cabin! Since we’re the only people camping with a tent here (and that has been true for almost all our camping places), the owners decided to offer us the cabin because why not? We take that!

Instead of pitching the tent, we had a hot shower before biking to an Asian all-you-can-eat restaurant. Back to our cabin, we are cozily warm, have wi-fi and can charge our phones. Not bad for our last night before arriving in Copenhagen 🤩!
