Staying true to our promise of yesterday, Bruno’s (crazy) circadian rhythm woke us up at 05:45, just in time for sunrise! Our temporary rooftop terrace is facing east - meaning we had first class seats for the spectacle 🌅

After breakfast outside, we went to the port of Rostock to catch the 9am ferry to Gedser. Together with just a few other cyclists, a Swedish school class and a Japanese German chain-smoking ultra stylish (no irony) rockstar group, we boarded the ship and arrived 2 hours later in Denmark 🇩🇰 When we finally exited from the ‚belly‘ of the ferry it was as if someone has turned the winds up and the temperatures down 🥲 I would have preferred it the other way round but oh well 🤷‍♀️ At least it’s sunny! And we’re not here for leisure anyways hehe 😛

With a quick Falafel-Dürüm pit stop in a sleepy but cute town called Nykøbing Falster we detoured to an autoroute Motel in the middle of nowhere, totaling around 58km for the day. Part of the motel is a renowned and exquisite restaurant, that we entered, feeling a little misplaced in our outdoor clothes (at least we’re showered 😮‍💨) but nonetheless we enjoyed the food. Afterwards - reading and catching up on sleep!
