Day 2: Berlin to Zehdenick
April 12, 2025With a tiny delay, we left with our home and beloved WG member Mete behind and saddled up on our rental gravel bikes π²
The official start of the route is the Brandenburger Tor, thatβs where we had to take a picture, of course π€
The first stretch was already going to be the longest one of the whole trip: 90km! Can our virgin butts and legs handle this? π΅βπ«π΅βπ«
Yes, they could! Fuelled by selfmade banana bread, ice cream and a big pasta lunch break the kilometers were flying by. Leaving sunny Hennigsdorf and Oranienburg behind, we rode past a last beautiful stretch along the Havel before arriving at our final destination: a camp site next to a historic water tower in Zehdenick. While next to us, people are raving in the tower (special event tonight πͺ©) weβre laying in our tent with no roof, trying to see the stars β¨ The only thing we see though are the party lights and the full moon π Still magical!
